My Journey
I didn’t know what “Marquette Superstar” was to begin with. I got a call from my buddy fifteen minutes before auditions to try out. At first I told him that I didn’t want to do it, but after persistent begging I finally relented.

After my audition I didn’t think I was going through to the next round, but when I made it I realized that this was really a fun opportunity —I’m doing what I love, making new friends, and everything turned out for the best. It was a great experience, overall.
The Roads I Took to Get There
I’ve enjoyed singing my entire life, and have played piano and guitar off and on for many years. I remember in second or third grade, my music teacher would have me sing in front of the rest of the class.
I didn’t take singing seriously, though, until my junior year of high school. My friend asked me to start a band with him. We recorded in his basement studio, and that’s when I started writing my own music.
Continuing the Journey
I’d like to see if I can get some guys together and perform some gigs around Milwaukee. I also got to see the Broadcast department here at Marquette, and I’d like to work more with them in the upcoming years, maybe even help out with Superstar next year.
