A color that I’m really into right now is teal. The luminous color somewhere in between blue and green adds a richness to whatever you’re wearing. A little hint of teal can also brighten up your day. Teal is a great choice for light, airy materials like silk and chiffon, or even for a blazer, pants, or flats.
What I love about teal is that its jewel tone is a brilliant way to add elegance to your outfit. Teal looks best with warm neutrals, but also adds a nice punch of color when worn with black. If you’re daring, it can also be fun to try “color blocking” with teal and wear a bright teal piece against navy blue or a darker blue shade. Teal typically has been known to be a Fall color, but in my opinion, it can be worn any time of year. It also looks great on any skin tone.
To avoid looking like a peacock, try to stick to just one teal piece in your outfit. Whether it’s for clothing, shoes, or nails, teal adds a nice pop of color. For those who are fans of the colored skinny jeans fad, teal is a great color choice and looks nice with gold accessories. For teal skirts, I would say to go for pleated or maxi. As you’ll see below, a teal dress can also be a great look that you can change up for work or a night out, depending on what you pair with it.
A deep teal color is unexpected and elegant at the same time. If you’re looking to add a little color to your wardrobe, teal is definitely the way to go. Check out my teal picks below, and try some of these looks this season for a nice punch of color.
